MKF Prince Avenue opened in January 2023 and is affiliated with the Meridian Kung Fu (UK) National Wing Chun Kuen Association.


MY JOURNEY

I’ve been a member of Meridian Wing Chun Kung Fu for over 10 years now and previously trained in Judo and Taekwondo before taking a break around the time I got married and started a family. 

My son began his Meridian Wing Chun journey before I did and so I started my own training in order to support him at a young age and resume my martial arts study. I’ve never looked back and was humbled to receive my black sash in November 2021.

I continue to train each week under Master Sata Chand at MKF HQ and I’m extremely honoured to be able to teach this incredible martial art to the children at Prince Avenue.


WHY WING CHUN?

Wing Chun is a stunning martial art and after having trained in other systems previously, I quickly realised how much more practical Wing Chun really is. In any kind of combat or self-defence situation, I know that my Wing Chun toolset far outweighs anything from my previous styles and training.
